My daughter was born on Friday, May 29th. That same weekend, we all watched something remarkable unfold in our country. It’s a feeling I won’t forget — a duality of emotions. The joy of holding my little girl and the pain of what the Black Lives Matter protests represent.

As I was scrolling through my social feeds over the past week, I had a thought.

You can count on the creative community to stand up, speak out and use their talent to amplify a message. It’s certainly true during times like these.

But, it’s my guess that many of my friends and family don’t follow a lot of the same artists, designers, creatives and photographers that I do. I’m sharing 11 of the images from my feed in hopes that they will resonate with someone who is willing to look for new perspectives.

We stand with the black community and reject any kind of racism and violence. This is no time to be silent and this is a fight for all of us. Not just now, but always. We understand that we will never understand what you are going through but we promise to educate ourselves and raise our voices against injustice and hatred and to act together towards a world full of tolerance for all. This is a fight for all of us and only standing in unity can we bring change.
