We’re Hiring: Paid Media Specialist

What Is It You Actually Do Here?

Wier / Stewart is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paid Media Specialist to join our team. The Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for planning, launching, and optimizing high-performing paid campaigns across digital platforms. This role is highly collaborative and works closely with account, creative, and strategy teams to translate our client’s business goals into measurable media results. This Paid Media Specialist is a client-facing role and will be involved in client meetings and presentations.

The Paid Media Specialist primarily supports the Paid Media Team and reports to the Director of Marketing.  As part of the overall strategy team, this role may also support the Director of Marketing and Senior Digital Marketing Strategist on select projects as a secondary function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated paid media strategies aligned with client goals, brand positioning, and campaign objectives.
  • Identify the optimal channel mix across traditional media and digital platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Pinterest Ads, and programmatic/display networks.
  • Conduct audience research, competitive analysis, and keyword research.
  • Build media plans inclusive of budget allocation, flighting, targeting, and KPI projections.
  • Foster relationships with traditional and digital media partners to negotiate contracts and facilitate campaign executions.
  • Initiate, schedule, and execute media campaign activations including vendor contract requests and reviews, client media authorization creation, gathering creative specs, asset requests and submittals, copywriting, account setups and integrations, constructing of campaign structures, conversion tracking frameworks, and tagging. This role will execute campaigns in-house and work with trusted partners. 
  • Monitor ad campaign performance, constantly optimizing towards established KPIs while identifying opportunities to scale successful efforts and improve underperforming campaigns.
  • Leverage reporting tools and translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for clear and compelling client facing performance reports.
  • Participate in client meetings to present plans, answer questions, provide updates, and share reporting and strategic recommendations. 
  • Manage client budgets to ensure proper spend pacing, channel spend allocation, and appropriate billing cadence.
  • Vet and maintain a list of agency digital marketing and media partners inclusive of their offerings, price structure and key differentiators. This includes reaching out for information, facilitating vendor meetings, and responding to partner outreach.
  • Compile and update benchmarks across industries and media tactics.
  • Compile department expense reports.
  • Work collaboratively with all agency departments to ensure client expectations are exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for paid media and digital marketing.
  • 2–5+ years of hands-on marketing experience. 
  • Proven success managing multi-channel campaigns with measurable results.
  • A strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads and additional paid media platforms.
  • Experience with conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong quality control standards.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn about paid media, the  marketing industry and client businesses.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
