Tugging at the Art Strings

The last year has been crazy, and we’re glad to see the Augusta Symphony come back into full swing. The 2021 theme “Come Together” couldn’t be more appropriate as we begin returning to a sense of normalcy and togetherness, and we were ecstatic when the Symphony approached us about crafting the look for this season.

All About Layers

We used color, shape and photography to express coming together. Photos, colors and type are layered, as a metaphor, to interesting and eye-catching effect. Symphony photography is placed within the instantly-recognizable violin silhouette, demonstrating the blending of instruments, musicians, color and sound to create a beautiful and engaging campaign.

Make it Pop(s)

The team loved the look of the Symphony series so much that they asked us to make a version for their Pops series. Trade the violin for a guitar and swap some of the photography and you've got a Pops campaign. By the way, you can buy tickets for both series here.

"Working with Wier / Stewart is always a pleasure. The team does such a good job of listening to our ideas and bringing them to life in a beautiful design that we can use throughout our season!"

"When I heard the theme for this year's series, I knew I wanted to incorporate it visually somehow. When thinking about things getting back to the way they were, I immediately thought of traditional block printing techniques. Incorporating some of that flavor with overprinting visually expresses 'coming together' as well as a return to a sense of normalcy."
