Hiring: Chief People Officer

Hello, Human Resources Hero.

We need you. We’re looking for a Chief People Officer (which may be officially called the HR Director) to join our growing agency. Our people are our greatest asset and we want to help them thrive at Wier / Stewart.

Fun fact: This role is available with some flexible parameters. We’re thinking 20-30 hours per week. Augusta-based.


OVERVIEW

A Chief People Officer is responsible for ensuring our employees have what they need to accomplish their jobs and remain committed to our agency’s mission. They’ll serve as a steward in evaluating which human capital strategies are most effective and use those metrics to advocate for operational changes as needed.

Reports to: President & COO

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • We need you to help us craft our “people strategy”.

  • We need you to ensure that the agency has the RIGHT talent.

  • We need you to oversee the performance management process of our teams.

  • We need you to lead the succession planning process.

  • We need you to lead employee communications efforts.

  • We need you to help manage and evaluate our agency’s compensation strategy.

  • We need you to help manage our benefits programs.

  • We need you to lead our talent recruitment efforts.

  • We need you to develop and lead employee retention efforts.

  • We need you to be an external ambassador and representative for the agency.

  • We need you to help manage our internship and fellowship programs.

  • We need you to polish our policies and agency handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS)

  • HR Expertise

  • Business Understanding

  • Empathy and Interpersonal Skills

  • Communication Skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to Solve Problems

  • Ability to Understand and Utilize Our Software Platforms

  • A Culture Fit
