East Lake Golf Club: A Restoration Story
A Long History of New Eras
Every now and then, a really cool project comes along that checks a lot of personal and professional boxes. Filming the renovation of East Lake was one of these. The legendary home of Bobby Jones, Alexa Stirling and Charlie Yates has changed a lot over the years, but its soul has remained the same. After multiple course changes, clubhouse fires and a rescue from the brink, the latest chapter in this historic Atlanta landmark was unveiled this week: a complete overhaul by Andrew Green. We were lucky to witness the entirety of the project from demo to rebirth and talk to GM Chad Parker and Andrew along the way. The resulting piece is a lot like the new layout — smart and beautiful, and very much East Lake.
