Social Media Intern

Wier / Stewart is looking for a Social Media Intern who is interested in learning the online communication strategies and executing day-to-day implementation and management functions in the media world. Our interns work in close collaboration with the Wier / Stewart Media Team.

Qualifications:

  •  Proven written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for writing both short and long copy

  • Interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management

  •  Knowledge of social media platforms and new media technologies

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn

  • Experience in Adobe softwares and/or video editing (not required but a benefit)

  • A proactive, service-focussed attitude towards clients and candidates and the teams yousupport internally

  • Loves working collaboratively with a team

  • Currently pursuing a marketing, journalism, creative writing, communications, or relateddegree from an accredited universities

 

Daily Duties:

  1. Assist with internal and client research, tracking and reporting.

  2. Stay current with trends in the industry

  3. Conduct social media audits

  4. Assisting on day-to-day tasks as needed

  5. Curate content for W/S social media & external client social accounts

  6. Assist on curating case studies throughout agency projects

  7. Monitoring and replying to communication for candidates and clients throughsocial media channels. (Under supervision from a Director)

  8. Liaising with staff internally to ensure that their company profiles are accurateand up-to date.

 

Client Service Intern

Wier / Stewart​ ​is looking for a Accounts Intern who is interested in learning the client communication strategies and executing day-to-day implementation and management functions. Our interns work in close collaboration with the Wier / Stewart Accounts Team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word required

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

  • Results-oriented and self-motivated

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Currently pursuing a marketing, journalism, creative writing, communications, or relateddegree from an accredited university

 

Daily Duties:

  1. Supports Account Service team in daily deliverables, activities and deadlines for creative campaigns and individual client projects

  2. Helps coordinate or participate in any phase of the project cycle, including opening jobs, closing jobs, and developing necessary job documentation

  3. Coordinates the development of project proposals/timelines

  4. Coordinates client meetings by ensuring the accounts team is prepared.

  5. Completes tasks as necessary to support the agency and the Account ServicesTeam

  6. The ability to work collaboratively with a team

  7. A proactive, service-focussed attitude towards clients and candidates and theteams you support internally

  8. Assisting on day-to-day tasks as needed

 

Photography & Video Intern

Wier / Stewart is looking for a Content Intern who is interested in learning the content communication strategies and executing day-to-day implementation and management functions. Our interns work in close collaboration with the Wier / Stewart Content Production Team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with video-editing software and video production, including:
    ○ Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and After Effects Software)

  • Course experience in video production/graphic design

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience in screenwriting, video production and video editing

  • Camera photography experience

  • Currently pursuing a marketing, journalism, creative writing, communications, or relateddegree from an accredited university

  • Experience in writing and visual storytelling

  • A proactive, service-focussed attitude towards clients and candidates and the teams yousupport internally

  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team

 

Daily Duties:

  1. Participate in Content meetings

  2. Collaborate with the team on pre-and post-production planning activities

  3. Use professional video, audio and lighting equipment to assist with field-basedvideo productions that include interaction with company employees or clients

  4. Log, organize, and edit footage.

  5. Assist in digital delivery of completed videos through various channels

  6. Help manage and create content for company-wide digital displays
