OVERVIEW
The Jr. Developer would be responsible for supporting our Interactive team in the planning, design and dev phases of a website, as well as long-term maintenance. This is a part-time position, located in Augusta GA, with the opportunity to grow.
Our clients’ websites require constant attention, whether that be through updates, changes, technical support or helping them grow and evolve with the times. The Jr. Developer would manage and implement all maintenance and support requests. This position requires WordPress knowledge, efficiency/experience with website construction and a willingness to learn and grow as the times or requirements of websites change.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, update and maintain existing websites, based on client requirements. Triaging requests as they come in and communicating with the team to fulfill those requests.
Assist in creative problem solving to resolve technical issues that may arise.
Monitoring sites for necessary plugins, software and/or feature updates and executing the changes to ensure the sites stay functional as technology evolves.
Perform frequent back-ups of all agency web-based projects, using both on-site and off-site storage resources.
Working with the Lead Developer to grow and scale existing sites, by adding content to developed sites, migrating information and building additional pages. Supporting the team in the development process from planning to launch.
Assist with testing and troubleshooting of new websites, to ensure functionality across all browsers.
Analyze site traffic and analytics to gauge performance and collaborate with internal teams to provide impactful recommendations/optimizations for clients.
Stay up to date on programming-related trends, innovations, technologies, industry best practices and technical specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
WordPress experience.
An understanding and working knowledge of web development frameworks, responsive requirements, SEO principles, website analytics and performance factors.
Preferred experience in Beaver Builder (or comparable page builder) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator).
Strong problem solving skills and an ability to troubleshoot issues in an efficient manner.
Reliable and proficient communication abilities and a detail oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently, as well as on a team.
Ability to reliably handle multiple projects, maintain our standards for quality and ensure projects are completed in accordance with provided deadlines and with great attention to detail.
An eagerness to learn and adapt to shifting technologies and processes.
