Raise the Froof.
Amanda Ferguson promoted to Director.
It started with a game of Connect4™. Seriously, we used to play a round of the popular board game in interviews (to mixed reviews). She won.
But Amanda (more affectionately referred to as ‘Froof’) didn’t get the job because she beat me at Connect4™. Largely, we hire based on attitude and culture fit. Top marks across the board there.
Since joining W/S over 6 years ago, Froof has been a key part of developing and growing new divisions within the agency. First, as a web producer, she helped organize and manage our newly created interactive division by scheduling work for developers, gathering content from clients and acting as the ‘breath of fresh air’ client-facing advocate on the gen1 version of website products.
For the past three years, however, Froof has put her SCAD degree to use by leading our video, animation and photography projects as our first-ever Content Lead. With video becoming more critical for brands of all sizes, we’ve quickly adapted to offering content services that fit our clients’ needs and budgets. Just take a look at anything in our WORK section. All of our video projects have been produced by the girl-wonder herself.
In her new role as Director of Content and Social, we are marrying the MVP (motion, video and photography) division with the division that needs it the most… Social Media.
As the Director of Content and Social, Froof will be responsible for the process and product we create. Her greatest asset, however, just might be her ability to organize and motivate her team to achieve common goals. She’s got an eye for talent… and another eye for, errr details. Two very important eyes (literally). And, she runs one hell of a beer-meeting.
Cheers, Froof. Welcome to the DCUT.
Double Bonus: You can always count on Froof to not only produce, but star in some of our most fun pieces of self-promo.
