Telly Award Winners
Amanda Ferguson (Content Lead) with some serious Telly PDA.
Run Telly that. Wier / Stewart receives six Telly Awards for excellence in video production.
2017 was a busy year, especially in terms of video production. With digital, social and content creation on the rise, video is not just for broadcast anymore. We were lucky enough to bag a half dozen Telly Awards for our work on behalf of the following lovely clients:
Title: “CYA”
Client: LegalSpark
Award: Silver Telly
When launching a new product, visually branding a spot, especially for an app or technology, is a priority. The intro video for LegalSpark is heavy on brand colors and design and quickly unpacks how the new platform works.
Title: “Buy Happiness”
Client: Goodwill Industries
Award: Silver Telly
When you help someone break the cycle of poverty or live an abundant life by buying a little something for yourself, we think you are buying happiness – it’s just not yours.
Title: “Brand Reveal”
Client: TaxSlayer
Award: Bronze Telly
Rebranding is more about shifting or reinforcing a company’s position than it is about pure design. Our video for the new TaxSlayer functioned as both an introduction and a call to arms for its employees and users.
Title: “The Numbers Game”
Client: Battle Lumber Company
Award: Bronze Telly
Sometimes it’s about simply capturing the story. The scope, size and history of Battle Lumber are impressive – just like the personalities of the family that built it and their legendary competitiveness.
Title: “This is VeryVera”
Client: VeryVera
Award: Bronze Telly
The hardest working grandmother in show business. That’s what Vera is and that’s what we had to communicate – with no voice-over. Vera’s pretty rare and the dedication to her craft and family is super sweet.
Title: “Naesha’s Story”
Client: The SCAD Alliance
Award: Bronze Telly
SCAD doesn’t have many survivors. Naesha’s heart-wrenching story is meant to both inspire hope and to draw attention to a very rare, yet very serious issue.
“Attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. That’s a fact. Video and animation are great because you can unpack a lot quickly. A short spot explaining what it is you do or what you are about is a business best practice mandatory these days. “
