Laziza On Broad
Welcome To The Neighborhood
It’s a toss up who’s more excited that Laziza Mediterranean Grill has opened their doors in downtown Augusta, Laziza or W/S. We have been longtime fans of Nader and Lisa Khatib’s, so when they asked us to create a new brand for their restaurant we jumped at the chance. Fast forward a couple years and they’re finally the new kids on the block.
Delicious by Design
Did you know that Laziza in Arabic means delicious? Well their brand certainly does! Our approach to the Laziza identity was to create something modern and dynamic with a dash of cultural history. And what better execution of this style than a mural.
To the Window, To the Walls
While the team at Laziza did a phenomenal job executing their brand across the new location, our personal favorite piece is the mural, and we’re only a little bias. Nader and Lisa asked us for a design that married the spirit of downtown Augusta to the style of Laziza. Drawing inspiration from Mediterranean architecture and our own downtown city scape, we were able to create a room with a view onto our dream vista of the city.
“We were looking for a piece to help bring the spirit of Laziza into our new downtown space and wanted to go bold. W/S was able to work within the available space and create something that was branded, but still unique to us and to Augusta.”

“I get giddy when I step into that space because they have so embraced what we have created for them. Seeing those patterns, cut out metal, signage, the window graphics and that mural—it’s like eating feta fries for the first time.”
