The Junior Tournament for

Major Talent

It’s all tee’d up.

For the past few months, we've been handling social media for Sage Valley's Junior Invitational, the most prestigious competition in junior golf. As the club has meticulously prepared to host the tournament, we focused on thorough, smart planning to set the stage for the event. Across all Junior Invitational channels, we built interest for the popular contest to set the scene for the week when the players descend on Sage and battle it out.

Our task was to up the engagement and overall awareness of this tournament and its players for the enthusiast and casual golf fan. This meant, we needed coverage. Lots of it. We deployed a team of specialists to cover tournament action, human-interest stories and the beauty of the venue — the one and only, Sage Valley Golf Club.

Here’s The Results.

Seriously Fun.

The JI is the only tournament that hosts its entire field. It's bound to be a good time not only on, but off the course. From night golf on the par 3 course to Nike night, the JI knows how to have a good time. It's a prestigious event, but it's still all about the golfers and building connections around the game of golf.

“Content. Prestige. And bagpipes at 8am. That was the name of the game for the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. This project was years in the making and I could not have been happier with the quality of work our team put out. I loved being behind the camera and working with the JI team to position them in a way that echoes the fun and top of the line atmosphere of the tournament. Junior Invitational week really is as special as it looks.”

— Chris Hall, Senior Social Media Manager

So this happened.

What does that translate to in real-world metrics?

In Summary

It's no mistake that invitational is in the name. Playing at Sage Valley is an honor, even for these juniors golfers who are at the top of their game. Past participants are succeeding at every level of golf with many having already played in the Ryder Cup, Masters, U.S. Open and the Open Championship, and some even taking home the trophy. It's not a question of IF these juniors will win again, it's WHEN.

The Takeaway

It’s our happy place.

In Our Words.

“The Junior Invitational at Sage Valley has spoiled me when it comes to event coverage. A beautiful course, strawberry cake, meeting Tim Tebow, Nike Night and the most elite junior golfers in the world: the content writes itself.

We aced tournament coverage!”

— Stefanie Bloedel  /  Social Media Manager

“From the cake to the coverage, talk about a hole-in-one experience! At the start of this tournament, I couldn’t tell you the difference between a birdie and a bogey. Now, I can at least pretend to know what I'm talking about. Fore!”

— Lexie Lail /  Social Media Manager
